This is the welcoming speech onboard Greyhound Australia GX233 from Sydney to Canberra on 8pm, 21st Dec, 2006, by the driver whose name tag on his shirt written "Lui".
He departed Sydney at 7:53pm (both my watch and the clock on the bus), and his mobile phone rang soon after, and he answered the call, after that, he complained to a passenger sitting behind the driver seat that there are always passengers late for the bus while he departs on time (but the fact is he departed earlier than schedule).
I have missed the first part of the "welcoming" speech as I did not expect such unpresentable speech can be made to passengers. He asked passengers to keep quiet and stop talking. As in the audio, he threaten to unload passengers on the highway, which I have never heard before from any other Greyhound drivers. I had never met such rude driver with Greyhound Australia before.

I am writing to express my feeling on my recent journey on GX233 from Sydney to Canberra on 21st December, 2006.
There are series of events which the unprofessional coach captain, with the name tag written "Lui" on his shirt, made the experience the worst one I had with greyhound, despite none of them is directly affecting me.
1. I arrived at Sydney central at around 7:40, 20 minutes before departure time, when I was chatting with a friend, he interrupted me and urged me to get onboard the coach, while there is much time to spare (it was not crowded) and I was just 5 steps away, it was not necessary for such hurry.
2. He closed the coach door and about to depart, leaving a lady having a smoke had to knock on the door to get back on the coach. The driver "lectured" the lady making her had to apologize for this.
3. He was departing at 7:53pm (both my watch and the clock on the coach) instead of scheduled 8pm. Very soon after departure, his mobile rang and he picked the call, after that, he complained to a passenger sitting behind the driver seat saying passengers were always late and outside the coach chatting while he leaves on time. In my opinion, if any passengers was unable to catch the bus that evening, it's the driver's fault, not the passenger's as the bus departed 7 minutes earlier than it is supposed to.
4. In his "welcoming" speech, he "lectured" all passengers to keep quiet, stop talking and listen to him, complaining misunderstandings are due to passengers not listening to the driver. When speaking of alcohol and smoking, he threaten to unload passengers and their luggage on the highway if anyone wish to do so. This is the most insulting and rude announcement I've heard on more than 10 trips travelled on greyhound. And from his attitude, it is not a humour at all, but discontent to passengers in general, treating passengers as suspects/convicts, or children at kindergarten. 5. Seats were not allocated as it usually did on other greyhound buses. He just asked me to take any of the front seats, which is not the usual practice of assigning a specific seat for passengers.
6. His driving attitude was not very good, from Sydney Central to Domestic Airport, he already sounded twice the horn on other drivers, which I believe it put stresses on other drivers and does not improve road safety in any way.
I wish the attitude of this driver can be improved as the quality of the service provided by him was not on par with a lot of other much nicer and friendlier greyhound coach captains.
